Several other notable Northern restaurants also received AA awards and rosettes
Mark Birchall, Chef Patron of Moor Hall in Aughton has won the coveted Chef’s Chef award at the 2022 AA Hospitality Awards. This is one of the top awards dished out on the night and is voted for by other chefs who hold AA Rosettes.

It's a well-deserved win for Mark whose restaurant in Lancashire holds two Michelin stars and its sister holds one. Moor Hall is one of the jewels in the crown of the northern dining scene.
Other notable Northern hospitality businesses celebrated at the awards ceremony include Grantley Hall in Ripon which won Hotel of the Year.
The Angel at Hetton which won Restaurant with Rooms, Rudding Park in Harrogate which won the Accessible Award, Swinton Estate in Masham which won the Sustainable Award and Lisa Goodwin Allen's annual Obsession event at Northcote which won the Outstanding Contribution Award.

New Rosettes were dished out in the North too, with new 3 Rosettes being awarded to Arkle at Chester Grosvenor in Chester, Rafters Restaurant in Sheffield, and The White Swan at Fence in Burnley, Lancashire.
New 4 Red Stars went to Rothay Manor Hotel in Ambleside and Storrs Hall, Windermere, Cumbria.
