DRAGON'S Den star and Reggae Reggae Sauce founder Levi Roots is helping to launch a search for Merseyside’s sparkiest young food and drink entrepreneur.
As part of a new initiative, the Liverpool Food and Drink Festival is inviting 18-24-year-olds to take part in a Dragons’ Den style pitch.
There's no dosh in it, however the winner will get a free stand at this year’s launch event in Sefton Park on September 7-8. The prize also includes "specialist business development advice" from Merseyside Special Investment Fund.
The judging panel will include Denise Harris, organiser of Liverpool Food & Drink Festival, Paul Humphrey, a specialist on start-ups from MSIF, and Paul Askew of The London Carriage Works.
Levi said: “I’m sure there are plenty of budding young entrepreneurs out there, who would really benefit from this opportunity. This could be the first step on the ladder to business success.”
Anyone who would like to put their business idea forward should submit a business idea with a 2-page business plan and 12 month profit and loss cash flow forecast to info@skevents.co.uk. The deadline for submissions is 12 noon Tuesday 13th August, and entrants will need to be available to pitch ‘Dragons’ Den’ style to the panel on Monday 19th August, and to participate at the festival on the 7th and 8th September.
