Tim Allen’s fine dining spot received the recognition at last night’s awards
Last night (Tuesday 22 September), the AA Restaurant Guide hosted its annual awards, presenting Aughton restaurant sō-lō with an impressive 3 AA Rosettes.
With numerous accolades already under its belt, including featuring in the Top 50 Gastropubs, the Top 100 Restaurants lists and Gordo’s seal of approval, this is a fine dining restaurant that talks the talk and walks the walk.
Owned by renowned chef Tim Allen, whose Flitch of Bacon bagged Essex’s only Michelin star in 25 years, the northern restaurant serves up a modern take on traditional British cuisine while borrowing influences from around the world and from Chef’s classical training.
The sō-lō team took to social media to share the fantastic news as well as their gratitude, writing:
We’re incredibly proud to have been awarded 3 AA Rosettes, with Tim and Mag heading down to London to attend the awards and collect our plate.
Recognition like this means so much to us and is a reflection of the hard work, passion and attention to detail that goes into everything we do at sō-lō.
A huge thank you to our brilliant team, our suppliers and, of course, every guest who continues to visit and support us. We couldn’t do it without you.
