From sparkling specials to Christmas and New Year’s Eve services, here’s what you can expect from the Liverpool hotspot this festive season
As Barnacle approaches its first full year, Harry and Paul Askew and their team have unveiled their upcoming plans for the festive season.
Guests can enjoy a selection of sumptuous festive specials alongside the restaurant’s main seasonal a la carte menu .
Those looking to celebrate right up until the big day can join Barnacle’s Christmas celebration which will feature a set menu including wild mushroom and chestnut arancini, pan-roasted cod loin and pressed dark chocolate Christmas pudding amongst many other courses. Then, to see out the year in style, a New Year’s Eve service will be available to book, featuring five courses including hand-dived scallop Saint-Jacques, gravlax salmon, Surf and Turf and candied pecan tart, plus a countdown to midnight and a DJ in the bar.
Barnacle Restaurant and Bar’s Director Harry Askew says: “We all love Christmas at Barnacle and we can’t wait to welcome guests for our second festive season. This time, rather than offering a full Christmas menu, we’ve created a selection of festive specials which lead us to our Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve services. As always, we’ll be using the finest local ingredients to create each dish, paired with our wonderful wines, cocktails and beers, and our beautiful Grade II listed home will look fantastic this Christmas. It’s an immense achievement from everyone involved at Barnacle to reach our first full year since we opened last October and our journey has only just begun.”
Barnacle’s 2026 Christmas specials are available from Wednesday 25 November. Christmas Eve is served from 12-4pm and the New Year’s Eve celebrations on Thursday 31 December start from 8pm.
