IT looks the Christmas Card part and now it is selling them.

Liverpool Town Hall will be the setting for a fair selling all things bright and beautiful to make your yule extra cool.

A Christmas Open Day this Monday (December 15) will feature seasonal stalls from local businesses, such as chocolate treats, Christmas bunting, gifts and floral arrangements.

No word on if Joe Anderson, will be donning a Santa outfit under the mistletoe, but the other mayor, Lord Mayor Erica Kemp will definitely be showing up as host of the event.

Councillor Kemp said: “The Town Hall Christmas open day is always a huge success and the perfect opportunity to go all out with decorations and Christmas carols.

“I hope that this year we can encourage many more people to come along and see this magnificent building in all its festive glory."

Doors open from 10am to 7.30pm, entrance is free and there will be plenty to see and do throughout the day, including the chance to meet the Lord Mayor herself. You can also hear, and purchase a copy of the Lord Mayor’s charity Christmas single ‘Liverpool Heart’. The song was recently released to raise money for local charity Liverpool Heartbeat which funds projects designed to help young people reach their creative potential.

During the day there will also be Dementia Friends Sessions in the parlour, musical performances, readings from Christmas themed books and the Choir with No Name will be performing from 5.30pm onwards in the Large Ballroom.

Guided tours have also been scheduled (11am, 2pm & 6pm) which Liverpool City Historian Steve Binns MBE will conduct for a small fee of £3.00 per person. Places are limited so please to call the bookings team on 0151 233 3020 to reserve a place.
