With Liverpool becoming quite the hub of activity as of late, from Eurovision preparation to football, we thought we'd do a round up of the latest new restaurants that have recently opened or are set to do so very soon.
Stoke Restaurant
7 Lime St, Liverpool L11RD

Located inside the Grade II listed Radisson RED hotel by Lime Street Station, Stoke Restaurant combines modern decor and the 1871 infrastructure to create a cosy, yet professional setting for its guests, complete with a robata grill. Offering up a huge range of farm to table foods from small plates of sweet grilled carrots to larger plates of grass fed sirloin and sustainable seafood dishes such as seabass and sole meunière, there's something for everyone.
Mean Eyed Cat

After finding success with its first venue in Leeds, the Deep-South inspired dive bar, recently opened its doors on Seel Street, offering up two of our favourite things, pizza and booze. Before 9pm, the bar offers free 6" pizzas with every drink ordered, and more uniquely, is home to 'the dice game' where upon ordering, if you roll a six, you get your round for free! Keeping in tune with its Deep-South roots, drinks at the Mean Eyed Cat aren't what you'd first think, from apple pie and pecan pie shots to a pb&j old fashioned and a cocktail named pineapple bbq.
The Reader Bar and Restaurant

A restaurant and bar that began a reading revolution over 20 years ago, The Reader does some incredible charitable work, combining their love for food and reading to raise money for shared reading groups across the city including community centres, prisons, and hospitals. Describing itself as a social enterprise, The Reader encourages customers to pop in for anything from a coffee to a meal, from their bistro style menu inspired by European flavours using locally sourced, seasonal produce.

KaiBaibo
5 Slater St, Liverpool L1 4BW

The home of the meat donut, Kaibaibo serves up killer Korean street foods such as bulgogi steak and katsu chicken sandwiches, to rice bowls and ramen. Opened by brothers, Robin and Chris, KaiBaiBo, nestled on Slater Street, combines Chris' passion for creating high quality food, and Robin's travels through Busan, South Korea, and ramen bars in Izakaya in Japan.
Fun fact, KaiBaiBo means rock, paper, scissors in Korean, which is likely a game you'll be playing with your compadres as you decide what to order first, if not the whole menu.
Sotto
54 Wood St, Liverpool L1 4AQ
Open
If a new wave soundtrack whilst you sip at a negroni is your ideal night out, then Sotto is the place to go. Nestled in Liverpool's party central hub, Sotto is the best place to catch up with friends whilst playing a card game or two whilst munching on their selection of bar snacks and getting up for a boogie to some electro groove music.
Mon Petit Chou
367 Aigburth Rd, Liverpool L17 0BP

If I could eat cake and pastries all day I would, and this is probably the place I'd go to do it at. This micro-patisserie and bakehouse serves up a range of baked treats Thursday to Saturday from 10am-4pm, but you'll need to be quick if you want to get your hands on some of their signature dishes such as the pina colada danish or ham and cheese croissants as they often sell out super fast.
Lucky's
37-43 Berry St, Liverpool L1 9DF

Everywhere has to have a niche, and Lucky's is serving up packaged ramen with Japanese inspired drinks to its revellers. Describing itself as a love letter to Japan, the bar offers a variety of noodle packets such as spicy chicken and kimchi, as well as accompanying shots with a range of Japanese sodas. There's even Sake-Bombs and Kakigori shaved ice cones in case you fancy a bit of rice wine and a beer, or alternatively, need a cool down.
The Green Man
43-45 Lark Ln, Liverpool L17 8UW

With a dimly lit, and stone brick interior, The Green Man makes for a cosy spot to grab a cask ale or two, a pie, and the opportunity to pet a dog if there are any about, due to its dog friendly nature. If a cask ale isn't for you, not to worry, they also serve a variety of cocktails and spirits. Why not pop in with a friend, grab a drink, and battle it out with a board game, pool, or darts?
Nord
100 Old Hall St, Liverpool L3 9QJ
Open
Nestled in the Business District, Nord celebrates Northern hospitality and heritage, paired with a food and drink offering built on local relationships with suppliers. A joint venture brought to the Liverpool dining scene GSG Hospitality and local Chef Daniel Heffy, who previously worked in michelin starred venues Frantzén and Adam/Albin. The menu is influenced by Daniel's time in Scandinavia and currently offers up a range of foods from fresh fazzoletti pasta to cod kievs.
Derek's Coffee & Sandwiches
63 College Rd, Liverpool L23 0RL

This New York inspired sandwich shop serves up a huge range of sandwiches from hoagies to grilled cheeses, and tantalising collaborations like the K.K. (Kersch Kicks) Dunk, a braised beef feather blade and brisket sandwich, the video on their Instagram of it, is enough to you slobber. Now open at their second location in Crosby.
Burnt Orange
Camp & Furnace, 67 Greenland St, Liverpool L1 0BY
Open
Located inside of the Baltic Creative's Camp and Furnace, Burnt Orange is in quite the central hub for local professionals. Open from 11am-5pm every Wednesday to Sunday, the restaurant offers up brunch, lunch, snacks and sweets. With a variety of vegetarian dishes such as falafel, avocado, or mushroom sandwiches, and other bites for the meat eaters like sausage or bacon on sourdough, there's plenty to fill your stomach before you have to get back to work.
Crosby Wine Bar and Bistro by Queens
66 Liverpool Rd, Crosby, Liverpool L23 5SJ

The wine bar and bistro has just opened its second location in Crosby, with the first being located just off of it's moniker street, Queen's Avenue. Queen's Crosby pride themselves on offering simple, seasonal produce, carefully cooked by their team of chefs. Their a la carte menu offers up a range fish dishes such as clam chowder and monkfish, to braised venison and beef tongue, with a seperate menu for Sunday afternoons offering up roasts and hot sandwiches.
The Vines Pub
81 Lime St, Liverpool L1 1JQ

A Grade II listed building, the Vines has recently been given a new lease of life by the 1936 Pub Company, who also own several other bars across the city, including The Green Man on Lark Lane. Home to some incredible Victorian era interior, from ornate wooden decor, to a domed colourful glass roof, the pub still boasts classic names for each of its rooms like the Billiards Room and Edwardian Hall. The bar now serves a range of cask ales and regular pints, as well as a small range of cocktails.
Hardware

Located inside one of Liverpool's iconic department store shop fronts, Rapid Hardware, this new opening celebrates the shop's past through its 'Hardware' inspired eatery. Serving brews and bakes from 7am till 5pm, Hardware would seem like any ordinary cafe, but from 5pm onwards, why not try and find the rusty wheelbarrow for a cocktail or two at their speakeasy!
Cosmo

Based in Liverpool One, Cosmo fills a gap in the market with a huge buffet offering of continental, South Asian spicy favourites, Chinese cuisine, Japanese Teppanyaki, roast carvery, small bits, deli meats, and desserts for you to pile your dishes high. If you're feeling thirsty after all those carbs, why not treat yourself to free refills of your favourite soft drinks to wash it all down.
Danny Mac's Tavern

If there's one pub that will be bustling no matter the day or time, it's an Irish bar with great craic in Liverpool. Showing live sports every day, with live acts in the evening, Danny Mac's is a traditional Irish bar serving up continental beers, local cask ales, fresh pies, and of course, Guinness.
Doogle's Donuts

Open
Doogles has now opened it's forth location over at Mann Island, so why not head over and grab yourself a coffee and a delicious handmade donut for a fiver. Whilst there you can admire the views of the Albert Dock and beyond, and get some photogenic photos of your donut whilst you're there, that's if you haven't already demolished it.
Arts Bar Baltic

Located inside the Baltic Social, the new Arts Bar is the perfect bar to immerse yourself in the local creative scene, whether you're a music lover, art enthusiast, or simply looking for a place to unwind. With weekly events from quiz nights, to open mics and live acts, the Arts Bar supports local grassroots musicians and artists, whilst offering a range of wines, spirits, beers and cocktails for you to enjoy.
HOWM by Selina

Pronounced 'Home', the social space and artisanal cafe a aims to offer up a warm and welcoming space for travellers and locals. After having other successful ventures in North and Latin America, hospitality brand, Selina, have now come to the other side of the pond, serving up a variety of Latin American inspired dishes like huevos rancheros (eggs with salsa, and tortillas) and lamb arepas. If you fancy a bit of hair of the dog, they even serve all day cocktails, such as mimosas for breakfast.
Hey Farina

Based in the Williamson Square, Hey Farina is a family owned Italian restaurant serving up everything from focaccias to paninis, pasta and a variety of other dishes, all made entirely out of the restaurant's moniker, farina flour. Apparently, this is the place that will grow your amore for baking goods, pasta, salads and more...
Liverpool Road Social
113 Liverpool Rd, Crosby, Liverpool L23 5TD
Open
Social is a big part of this restaurants brand, inviting guests to drink, eat, meet friends, bring family, or bring the dog. After converting a derelict Ford garage, Liverpool Road Social is open Tuesday-Saturday with a full menu, Monday's for brunch, and Sunday's for their tasty roast dinners with all the trimmings.
Carlisi
57 Allerton Rd, Liverpool L18 2DA
Opening April
Set to open sometime this month, Allerton Road will be host to Italian restaurant, Carlisi's second venue. Owned by brother's Alessio and Federico Carlisi, the new venue will be a homage to their love of Sicilian foods, moving away from their street food-esque concept which can currently be tried at their Dale Street restaurant.
Blackstock Market
15-17 Blackstock Street, Liverpool City Centre, L3 6ER
Opening Summer 2023
Set to be the new home of the renowned Hot Water Comedy Club, Blackstock Market is set to be a huge social venue space with food vendors from across the city, as well as a cocktail and whisky bar.
Box Park Liverpool
Cains Brewery Village, Stanhope St, Liverpool L8 5XJ
Opening Summer 2023
After Box Park's success with venues in and around London, Liverpool is set to be the first city outside of the capital to host a new venue. Alongside a food hall serving up a variety of street foods and drinks, Boxpark will also be bringing along their eclectic mix of events - from sports screenings and parties to art and culture.
Oriel Bar
Water St, Oriel Close, Liverpool L2 8TD
Opening Spring 2023
Created by Oriel Barbershop, Oriel Bar is still in the midst of renovations, and not much information has been released about what it's going to be like, or serve. Although, they have teased several spirits over on their Instagram, and the build looks as though it is coming along nicely.
Fat Fux
108 Bold St, Liverpool L1 4HY
Opening TBC
There is literally no information for this one, but renovations are currently happening in the recently closed Slim Chickens on Bold Street. The sign outside suggests it's a coffee and dessert shop, and if the name is anything to go by, it might just be a sugar haven.
