THE KAZIMIER'S house band, the Harlequin Dynamite Band, serenaded a huge sleigh pulled by a real reindeer and, of course, Santa into the city as part of Liverpool ONE's grotto opening this weekend.

Thousands of children from around the region welcomed Santa to town yesterday (Sunday 24 November).
The parade, which started on Paradise Street, included a giant gift wrapped present on legs and acrobatic elves.
The marching band played Christmas classics and accompanied Santa on the parade which culminated on the Sugar House Steps at Custom House Place.

Children were also able to tell Santa what was at the top of their Christmas list in Santa’s Grotto at the Ice Festival on Chavasse Park, open all the way through to the big day.

Both children and adults can explore a winter wonderland of frozen fun at Liverpool ONE’s Ice Festival this Christmas with crafts at Santa’s Workshop, a 7D cinema, a real ice rink, fun rides, the Ice Bar and the Après Cafe Bar.
