Salsa is all aout shaking your booty. When it takes place in a masonic Hall, you might expect a few dodgy hand manoevres thrown in.
Salsa Paradiso launches tonight with a bi monthly event in Hope Street's Masonic Hall, just opposite the Everyman. It's a chance to step inside this listed building in the heart of the cultural quarter of Liverpool city centre.
It has the most wonderful, huge, wooden floor with a reasonably priced bar, say organisers.,
Learn the hot, hot moves from nine until 10pm with Ellwood and Jane - who are one letter away from being The Blues Brothers, and then after that it's party time.with guest DJs Irmita from Southport and Jim Close from Birmingham. They promise to play a good mix of salsa with a little kizomba and bachata too.

Voodoo ray
Tristan and Delia Brady Jacobs are two people who like to make things happen around here.
This time it's HoBo, a new market for Liverpool. "Funky craftworkery, essential voodoo products (especially crucial if you've got your evil eye on someone), fine and wonderful vinyl, secondhand clothes and curious items, excellent live music, objet d'arts and salt". Salt?

Picnic time
“Roll up, roll up for The Summer Cup, a charming picnic to eat and sup.”
That’s the blurb from organisers Mello Mello who, this Sunday will be hosting an afternoon of fun and frivolity at the Kazimier Garden.
This is where it’s at this weekend. Games, a vegetarian picnic hamper for just a tenner or sneak in your own scotch eggs and sausage rolls.
The wonderful jazz belles the Flamin Mamies will be slapping their bass as you slap those chicken thighs. What a slap up treat.
And for the youngsters a Wizardrous Storyteller will be popping in to tell a marvellous tale after lunch.
