Castle Street site will offer tours, dark spirits and a gin lab
The final touches are being made to the new £1m Liverpool Gin Distillery on Castle Street, which will to open to the public on Monday 26 November.
The distillery will be an exciting new attraction for Liverpool, offering three gin experiences involving distillery tours, gin tasting and gin making, as well as two bars where visitors can relax, eat and drink.

Opened by Halewood Wines & Spirits for its Liverpool Gin brand, the new Distillery features The Ground Floor, a gin and spirits bar where visitors will get to see Liverpool Organic Gin being made in its 600-litre working copper still.
A range of cocktails featuring Liverpool Gin flavours and other premium brands will be on offer as well delicious handmade pizzas, tapas, flatbreads and nibbles. Visitors can also indulge in whisky tastings and dark spirit cocktails in the Basement Lounge, which offers dark spirits from all over the world.
One of the main attractions will be Liverpool Gin Distillery’s specially designed Gin Lab where visitors will learn about the history of gin and organic Liverpool Gin, before exploring a wide range of botanicals they can choose from to design their own recipe and distil their very own bottle of Liverpool Gin, which can they can then name to make it their own personal blend.
Visitors can also take a ‘history of gin’ Distillery Tour or a Distillery Tour and Tasting which ends with a four-flight gin tasting after their behind-the-scenes look at the distilling process.

Liverpool Gin itself will play an important role at the distillery in all its guises including Liverpool Gin, Liverpool Valencian Orange Gin, Liverpool Rose Petal Gin and new Liverpool Lemongrass and Ginger Gin with its unusual blend of oriental fruits and spices.
