Chef Patrol Paul Askew and his team proudly present three wonderful occasions
This month (June), Chef Patrol Paul Askew and his team are hosting three wonderful occasions at The Art School, making up part of a packed out summer of events at the leading gastronomic destination.
Paul says: “With spring now showing itself fully and summer incoming soon, we’ve got a lovely June for our guests at The Art School. As always, we will focus on bringing to life locally-sourced ingredients in our menus and dishes, to honour the rich bounty the land around us provides. These will be matched with exquisite wines, served either in our main Lantern Room setting or downstairs in The Art School Cellars. We can’t wait to welcome everyone.”
Guests can enjoy a double date of premier horse racing from Royal Ascot downstairs in The Art School Cellars; Thursday 18 June is Ladies Day and Gold Cup Day with a full card of epic races, followed by another packed day of action on Friday 19 June running all afternoon. The horse racing will be displayed on screens and guests can enjoy delicious platters, bowl food and a welcome drink of fizz as part of the experience.
Next up is The Art School’s spectacular Father’s Day Luncheon taking place in The Lantern Room on Sunday 21 June. Designed to celebrate dads and raise a toast in their honour, guests can enjoy a seasonally curated menu and there’s even a special junior menu available for children aged 12 and under.
Closing the month, on Thursday 25 June, Henners will make a welcome return with Master Sommelier Nigel Wilkinson hosting the evening alongside Paul, featuring five courses and five paired wines. Nestled next to the Pevensey Levels Nature Reserve and less than 5 miles from the sea in East Sussex, Henners Vineyard is planted with three classic sparkling grape varieties, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier.
Paul explains: “We can’t wait to welcome Henners back to The Art School with our good friend Nigel joining me. Their vineyard benefits from its beautiful coastal location - its low elevation and rich, free-draining clay soils make the site ideally suited for producing their high-quality sparkling and still wines. We really love what they do and we serve many of their vintages. Nigel and myself will guide guests through each course and wine during the event.”
All upcoming events at The Art School can be booked here.
