WITH its twinkly lights and hidden location, The Buyers Club has something of the grown-up Christmas grotto about it at any time of the year.
So where better to stage a food and drink market, at night, complete with tunes, booze and a record fair, as the dark festive fortnight looms nearer?
A Christmas market, featuring a selection of yule-style food and drink stalls - and not an overpriced sausage in sight - will take place next Friday, (December 16), from 6pm.
Visitors to the al fresco event will be able to purchase festive hot food from the outdoor stalls, pastries from local baker The Wild Loaf and a selection of hot mulled drinks from the outdoor bar.
With vinyl sales outstripping musical downloads for the first time ever last month, you will undoubtedly find a present for the hipster who has everything (or your dad who gave it all away to the Oxfam in 1993) at The Buyers Club’s popular record fair which will also be taking place that night.
Or, if you are the bar and humbug sort, you could just go inside and order the best chips and gravy in the land and remind yourself of what you really should be eating on Christmas Day.

Daniel Heffy, Head Chef at Buyers Club, says: “We can’t wait for the festive season at Buyers Club! As well as our Christmas offering in the dining room and in the bar – we wanted to make sure that we celebrated every aspect of the season by hosting a good old Christmas market.”
“It’s going to be brilliant and we look forward to enjoying a tipple in the garden.”
