Panto starring Girls Aloud singer is sure to be a full house
FORMER Girls Aloud singer Nadine Coyle has been confirmed as the star of this year’s Bongo’s Bingo Christmas pantomime in Liverpool.
Inspired by the blockbuster musical Grease, 'Bingo Is The Word' will see the Irish singer, songwriter and actor perform Girls Around classics amid the madness of the live Liverpool-born gameshow which is strictly for the big kids.
Coyle will join comedian and compere Jonny Bongo on stage for each of the nineteen performances which will run on dates between November 27 and December 31 at Camp & Furnace.
One pound from each ticket will go to the Liverpool-based charity Cash For Kids, raising over £15,000.
Since its inception here three years ago, the Bongo’s Bingo has swept cities across the UK and internationally with its raucous format - part rave, part lucky numbers - already a hit in Ibiza, Australia, Dubai, Amsterdam, Nantes and Bordeaux.
And, depending on your sensibilities, it’s possibly the best night out in the city with each event attracting a 10,000 strong waiting list for tickets to win everything from cases of Lambrini, cuddly toy unicorns, Henry hoovers and a cardboard cut out of Bruce Forsyth.
But back to the panto.
“The team are incredibly proud to take the city to the next level,” said a spokesman. “The Christmas shows will include more dance numbers, more festive prizes and a much more musical-esque experience as Camp & Furnace is transformed into a wonderland of Grease-inspired escapism with sets including a diner and garage”.
Tickets for all shows (27 Nov to 31 Dec) go on sale Friday 31st August at 6pm here: bongosbingo.co.uk
