Money can’t buy me love but it will buy a luxury loft apartment
THE next phase of the residential development at Tobacco Warehouse has launched with four Beatles-themed luxury show apartments aiming to tempt buyers into the market.
Tobacco Warehouse is the residential part of the £250m regeneration of Stanley Dock, including the Titanic Hotel
The first release of off-plan apartments at Tobacco Warehouse in Liverpool saw over 100 homes sold or reserved with some 60 homes occupied. With the build complete, Stanley Dock Properties has now released the dressed show apartments, larger showcase apartments and penthouses, with different rooms featuring specially curated Beatles artwork.
In dressing the four show apartments, Stanley Dock Properties says that it envisaged each could provide a funky Manhattan style pad for one of the Fab Four. Many of the limited edition pieces were purchased at Double Fantasy - John & Yoko, the 2019 Beatles Exhibition that was held at the Museum of Liverpool.
The show properties feature a trio of iconic New York t-shirt photographs of John Lennon in Manhattan, which were taken in 1974 by photographer Bob Gruen. The luxury flats also display a series of psychedelic Beatles posters, which were created by Vanity Fair photographer Richard Avendon in 1967.
Other Beatles images that appear include rare outtakes from a 1963 session with Vogue photographer Norman Parkinson, the classic Beatles Pillow Fight photograph taken at the George V Hotel in Paris in 1964 by photographer Harry Benson, and one of the rarest Beatles posters in existence, the "Mad Day Out", which was taken in 1969 and shows the Beatles by the banks of the River Thames.
The Tobacco Warehouse was originally built in 1898-1901. The iconic building now features a collection of new loft style apartments that retain unique heritage features such as exposed brick walls, cast-iron columns and decorative metal staircases.
Apartments at the Grade II listed Victorian Tobacco Warehouse benefit from either dock, river or city views. The latest release of properties start at £235k and include one, two or three bedroom duplex apartments. On the top floor are two bedroom penthouses that open onto private wrap around terraces.
Tobacco Warehouse is the residential part of the £250 million (completed value) regeneration of Stanley Dock, including the Titanic Hotel, created in 2013-14 from the adjacent North Warehouse, and now one of Liverpool’s most luxurious hotels with a restaurant, cocktail bar and health club.
The Titanic Hotel operates under “Stanley Dock Hotel Limited” which comes under the control of Stanley Dock Properties. The ultimate controlling party is Yaldirim Holdings Limited, a company registered in Cyprus.
