SATURDAY Kitchen comes to Sefton Park when names like The Fabulous Baker Brothers, Paul Hollywood, Lisa Faulkner, Tom Kitchin, Aiden Byrne, and Norman Musa join The Liverpool Food & Drink Festival.

September 1-8 are the dates starting with the weekend launch event in Sefton Park (1-2 September). The open-air festival launch weekend will bring together some of the region’s finest local producers, as well as the city’s top restaurants and bars, for a celebration of the city’s thriving food and drink scene.

The Sefton Park event, which is ticketed at £4 a day, will feature a real ale beer festival, master classes, and celebrity chef demonstrations, as well as wine tasting and street food sampling.

As part of the launch weekend, Wallasey-born ‘Great British Bake Off’ judge, Paul Hollywood, will be hosting the final heat of the ‘Great Merseyside Bake Off’. Open to all amateur bakers across the region, the competition will culminate in a bake off between 12 finalists during the Sefton Park launch weekend.

The week-long Liverpool Food & Drink Festival is organised by Liverpool-based SK Events

Tom Herbert, fifth generation baker and one half of the Fabulous Baker Brothers, said: “We’re hugely excited about taking part in the Liverpool Food & Drink Festival. The city has a great vibe with a fantastic food and drink scene, which is all going to be transported to the middle of Sefton Park for the launch weekend.”
