The sausage dogs are gathering for their annual meet-up, and you can spectate
Never mind pigs in blankets, there's a new sausage-wrapped-in-something highlight to your festive season: sausage dogs in Christmas jumpers. Over a hundred of them. All parading around for you to coo over.
The Yorkshire Dachshund Group is holding its annual meet-up in Roundhay Park this December, following last year's event where 115 dachshunds and 14 other dogs got dressed in their Christmas best and brought their owners together.
Even more dogs are expected to take part this year, with 130 dachshunds alone anticipated for the meet-up on Sunday 17 December.
If you want your pupper to take part, or you just want to spend a Sunday morning admiring the work of some very good boys, the group is meeting at the Lakeside Cafe at 11:30am, which is where the walk will depart from.
