Company’s fourth venue will be the first outside the city centre
Following the success of the Belgrave Music Hall, Headrow House and Water Lane Boathouse, Ashley Kollakowski and Simon Stevens are adding another venue to their portfolio – this time in between Meanwood and Chapel Allerton.
The True Briton on Stainbeck Road, previously a Milton pub, has been sold to Rose Thirteen Ltd and will now undergo an extensive makeover to become the company’s fourth establishment, and first outside the city centre.
While no potential dates for opening have been confirmed, the new owners have confirmed that they are looking at a family-friendly venue that will incorporate local beers and produce, as well as being a place to watch live football and enjoy a roast.
And as with the Belgrave and Headrow House, the venue will be multi-faceted, with live music, film nights and plenty of food as well as two bars and a roof terrace. There’s certainly space inside for that and a whole lot more, as well as the potential for outdoor events, with the site including an enormous car park just off the main road.
The Belgrave opened back in 2013, with Headrow House following in 2015 and Water Lane Boathouse two years later in 2017. Assuming the new venture opens in 2019, we won’t just be queuing up to get the first look, we’ll also be wondering what Ash and Simon have got planned for 2021?
