The striking tall ship offers visitors a unique glimpse into maritime history

Royal Albert Dock Liverpool has welcomed the arrival of the spectacular Galeon Andalucía, with over 11,000 visitors boarding the 17th-century Spanish galleon replica during its opening weekend.

Currently moored in Canning Half Tide Dock, this is the first time the tall ship has visited Liverpool. The striking vessel invites audiences of all ages aboard to take a glimpse into maritime history.

Sean Morrison, estate manager at Royal Albert Dock, comments: “The Galeon Andalucía has had a phenomenal welcome here at the dock, with thousands of visitors stepping on board to discover its fascinating history. It’s been fantastic to see such excitement across the weekend, and we encourage everyone to take the opportunity to experience this one-of-a-kind ship before it departs on Saturday”.

James Long, engagement manager at Canal and River Trust, mentions: “Canal and River Trust are proud to work with our partners and welcome historic vessels like Galleon Andalucia to the iconic docks that we care for. It is fantastic to see so many people enjoying this unique experience at a world-class waterfront location like Royal Albert Dock."

A limited number of tickets for exploring Galeon Andalucía are still available before the ship’s final day in Liverpool on Saturday 5 October, with weekday visits offering a more relaxed experience. Book yours now.
