PHIL Disley is a highly successful satirical illustrator and cartoonist whose career will be highlighted in an exhibition by dot-art.

The exhibition will contain both original illustrations and limited edition prints ranging from controversial political magazine covers to light-hearted topical cartoons.
Born in Liverpool in 1971, Phil Disley returned to the city upon finishing his Graphics degree and is currently based in the city.
From his first illustration in the ‘Big Issue’ in 1993 Disley’s career soared to the point of being considered one of Britain’s foremost illustrators and cartoonists.

His work has been featured in Britain’s most esteemed publications and can currently be seen in The Guardian, Financial Times, The Spectator and GQ Magazine as well as the Oxford University Press.
Disley has also been sought after by a number of American titles and in 2008 Phil was short listed to illustrate the cover of Black Book, a prestigious advertising annual showcasing the best of American illustration.
Accolades include; a silver medal from The Association Of Illustrators for his depiction of Winston Churchill in The Guardian, Clio Award in 2000 for his work with The Chase Manchester in The Millennium Dome and a Trade Unions Communications award for his cover work for Firefighter magazine.
Recently Disley embarked upon collaborations with LFC players Steven Gerrard and Luis Suarez, setting himself the loose brief of 'You'll Never Walk Alone.' Phil had the idea of using player foot-prints as the basis for the images which can be seen here
