Playing the Moldovans at Tennis is an independent British feature film based on the best-selling book.

It tells the true story of Tony Hawks, who attempts to win a silly bet in order to gather material for a light-hearted new book, but becomes embroiled in an uplifting and life-changing adventure. "This eccentric story is both blissfully funny and sincerely heartfelt, as Tony is challenged to track down the entire Moldovan international football team and beat them - one at a time - at tennis!"

All profits from the screening and book sales will go towards the care home for severely disabled children that Tony founded in Chisinau, Moldova.

The film stars Tony Hawks, Anatol Durbala, Stephen Frost, Angus Deayton, Morwena Banks, Pat Cash, Laura Solon, Alistair McGowan, Igor Babiac, Ana Chrita, Silvia Luca, Viorel Cornescu and Inda Surdu.
