Winter Cocktails to warm the heart at Liverpool Gin Distillery

Forget Christmas turkey, season’s eatings are all about confectionary. Nothing says Christmas like a Terry’s Chocolate Orange or a box of After Eights. Which is why we’ve come up with some Liverpool Gin Distillery winter cocktails to bring the magic of the month to life in liquid form.

The Rule Breaker

Who cares if its after eight? Get this version of an Espresso Martini down you whenever you like. Although, with coffee, JJ Whitley Artisanal Vodka, Mozart Dark Chocolate Liqueurand Giffard Crème de Menthe, it is the perfect after-dinner mint.

It’s Not Terry’s

A chocolate orange that’s easy to get in to, this drink is a bit like an Espresso Martini but with Whitley Neill Orange Gin replacing the vodka. We’ve also added Giffard Crème de Cacao and orange syrup to everyone’s favourite caffeine cocktail.

The Chocolate Box

Better than Roses or Quality Street, this one’s made to share with friends: three shots of Mozart Dark Chocolate Liqueur topped with Dead Man’s Fingers Cream Liqueur. Will you choose the strawberry one, the black cherry one or the mango one?

Do You Know The Muffin Man?

When you start to smell gingerbread (in your lattes, in your kitchen, in your candles) then you know Christmas is nearly here. Warm up your winter with this spicy little number with James Cree’s Bourbon with Angostura Bitters, Angostura Orange Bitters and gingerbread syrup.

Snowball Spritz

A modern (and delicious) take on your nan’s dusty drinks cabinet. Advocaat, Berkshire Orange Blossom and Honey Gin and Prosecco come together to create a creamy, rich and decadent drink.

Velvet Old Fashioned

Our Velvet Old Fashioned is strong and boozy with dried fruit flavours, a bit like Christmas pudding. Bankhall’s Single Malt English Whisky is sweetened with Pedro Ximenez sherry and brown cane sugar syrup and we’ve added Angostura Bitters for aromatic notes.

Winter Cosmopolitan

Festive, fruity and spicy, there’s no need to mull this one over. Our Winter Cosmopolitan is a definite hit with Liverpool Lemongrass and Ginger Gin, Triple Sec, Lime, Cranberry Juice, Bitter Truth Pimento and allspice liqueur making a great seasonal alternative to the cocktail classic.
