The ‘proper pub’ has opened in the heart of the city, reimagining what was The Peacock on Seel Street
The Peacock on Seel Street has been given a new lease of life, having been transformed into the Crooked Crown; a ‘proper pub with cask ales on tap, live sports on the telly and plenty of cosy corners to sit yourself down’.
The rebrand and refurbishment by owners Pub Invest Group sees the venue take on the appearance of an old-fashioned boozer with modern amenities, similar to that of neighbouring The Monro, continuing the resurgence of traditional-style bars in the area.
Having officially opened its doors last Wednesday, the bar will continue to operate throughout the week, serving up cask ales from local breweries alongside a menu of pub grub. Sports fans also get their fix with games being live streamed on match days.
