Augusto Pizzeria will bring a taste of Turin to Chester
THE husband and wife team behind Michelin-plate recognised Da Noi has announced they will be opening a contemporary-style pizza concept in the New Year.

Chef Valentina Aviotti and Fabrizio Gobbato will launch Augusto Pizzeria on Chester’s Northgate Street in February 2022. Inspired by the Neapolitan style pizzas found in Italy, the menu will feature the classics alongside “gourmet” pizzas with future plans to launch a wine pairing.
Valentina and Fabrizio moved from Turin to Cheshire in 2012. After struggling to find an authentic Italian restaurant in the North West, the couple launched Da Noi in 2018 with Valentina as Head Chef.
Da Noi is famed for the pasta that is crafted in the restaurant daily and the menu features truffle and ricotta ravioli, taleggio gnocchi and cacio and pesto maccheroni. There are several dishes in the menu that have been in Valentina’s family for years and years, including the hazelnut cake.
Da Noi has been listed on the Michelin Guide two years in a row. Judged on similar grounds to the stars and the Bib Gourmands, the Michelin Plates are a nod to places that have been recognised but are yet to earn one of the other awards.
“We are thrilled to finally announce the news that we are launching Augusto Pizzeria in Chester,” said Fabrizio Gobbato.
“It has been a long time in the making and the concept is something we are so proud of.
“It’s no secret that Neapolitan pizzas are the most delicious style of pizzas in the world but with this, we’re hoping to bring something extra special to the city including recipes that people may not have tried before, in a venue that allows people to sit, relax and enjoy the true taste of Italy.
“Chester’s food and drink scene is going from strength to strength and we feel Augusto will be a welcome addition to the fantastic range of venues in the Northgate area of the city, fitting in perfectly with the buzz that surrounds it.”
