THE maker of Lambrini has been revealed as the headline sponsor of this year’s Liverpool International Music Festival.

Huyton-based Halewood International, which also sponsors the Grand National race meeting with its Crabbies ginger beer, will be heavily promoting its Red Square Vodka brand to tens of thousands of Liverpool festival goers over the August Bank Holiday weekend.

The company, the UK’s biggest alcoholic drinks manufacturer, says it wanted to be involved in a city-based event which has a wide and diverse appeal.

It will be bigging up its beverages across key areas of the site and throughout the city at designated venues. Punters can expect to stumble across “Red Square signature cocktails prepared by an expert mixologist, flair bartending, relaxation and chill out areas plus sampling and competitions. There will also be festival 'activations' for the other brands in Halewood International’s portfolio, Lambrini and Crabbie's Original Alcoholic Ginger Beer.” 

LIMF Summer Jam - organised by Culture Liverpool - takes place at Sefton Park over the August Bank Holiday from 29-31 August and features headliners such as Basement Jaxx, Labrinth, Echo and the Bunnymen with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, Space, and The Real Thing,

Now in its third year, LIMF says the alcohol branding adds a “significant new dimension” to the festival and the financial support will allow it remain free.
