Police make arrest 13 months after Nice N Naughty raid

POLICE searching for a robber wearing a red dress and wig, who held up a city centre sex shop at gunpoint over a year ago, have charged a man from Liverpool 8.

Graham Leonard Perryman, of Jacob Street in the Dingle, has been charged with robbery and possession of a firearm while committing a Schedule 1 offence (robbery) following an incident at Nice N Naughty, in Colquitt Street.

He has been remanded in custody to appear at Liverpool Magistrates Court today (Thursday, 28 September 2017).

Staff at the adult store were said to have been left shaken but unhurt by the “scarlet woman” incident on Sunday 28 August, 2016, after which CCTV images were released.

At around 5.40pm, Merseyside Police received reports that a man dressed in a red dress, wig, grey cap and white gloves had entered the store and produced a black handgun, which was used to threaten a member of staff. Following a brief struggle, the man snatched money from the counter and left the shop.

In a statement at the time, police said it was unclear whether the gun was real or fake.
