The steak restaurant has been named the 'best in the world'
Famous for their charcoal grilled, 35-day dry aged steaks, award-winning cocktails, and spectacular interiors, Hawksmoor launches in Liverpool this month. Fresh from opening “the hottest steakhouse in New York” and ranking number one in the “World’s Best Steak Restaurants” list, Hawksmoor Liverpool will open in the Grade II-listed India Buildings, on the corner of Brunswick Street and Fenwick Street.

What’s the story? Founded by Will Beckett and Huw Gott in 2006, the two friends opened a restaurant serving steaks from traditionally-reared cattle and sustainably sourced seafood, alongside old school cocktails in a then-unfashionable part of London and changed steakhouse standards in that city. Since then, Hawksmoor has grown to a 10-restaurant group.
Well-sourced steak and attention to detail have earned the Hawksmoor brand a top reputation on the food and booze scene. “The best steakhouse in the North,” wrote Manchester Confidential on Deansgate, the first Hawksmoor steakhouse outside of London.
“Confidence oozes out of every pore of Hawksmoor - this is powerhouse food, delivered by a kitchen with its chin out and its shoulders back,” said Gordo in his review. Blimey, it must be good.
When Hawksmoor first launched in Deansgate Manchester, the new restaurant was deluged by messages from diners trying to book in for their two week soft launch discount period.

The soft launch will take place from 16-23 November. To get an invite, you need to sign up to the Hawksmoor Liverpool mailing list via the website.
In a newsletter sent out this week, Hawksmoor said, "There are a limited amount of tables available so be sure to set your reminders for this Wednesday when the official invite will be landing in your inbox.
"Soft launch bookings will be available through the OpenTable booking link only - we aren’t able to take reservations for soft launch over email.
"Beware, our soft launches get booked up extremely quickly… usually a matter of minutes rather than hours."
Hawksmoor will officially open in Liverpool on Thursday 24 November. Sign up via the Hawksmoor website to be the first to hear when bookings go live.
