The restaurant and bar could be moving to a new spot in Liverpool ONE
Liverpool’s Boujee Restaurant & Bar could be on the move from its home at Kenyon’s Steps as pink boarding signs and furniture have appeared outside a new location in Liverpool ONE.

The terrace of Hilton Liverpool City Centre at 3 Thomas Steers Way, formally the Playground nightclub, now has a pink sign for Boujee Restaurant & Bar and pink tables and chairs set up outside.
Last week, Liam Thorp of the Liverpool ECHO reported that staff at Boujee Liverpool had not been paid full wages in recent weeks as the business struggles with “cashflow” issues.
The Boujee brand is the creation of Lystra Adams, a model, entrepreneur, property owner and one of the Real Housewives of Cheshire. Lystra is one of three company directors for Boujee Restaurant & Bar Limited, which manages sites in Liverpool, Manchester and Chester. In its report on Boujee's financial situation, the ECHO says that Lystra is not involved with the day to day running of the Liverpool restaurant.
Boujee Liverpool opened at Kenyon's Steps in Liverpool ONE at the end of 2020. Spanning a 9,600 sq ft unit across two floors with room for up to 250 covers, Boujee has made a name for its Instagram-friendly photo ops for patrons, including a convertible pink car, giant candy area, as well as themed “pool party” and “Alice in Boujeeland” spaces.
When asked when Boujee would be moving from Chavasse Park into the new location next to the Hilton, a spokesperson said, “We are still yet to release an opening date for our new venue.”
The Boujee Liverpool bar at Kenyon’s Steps was previously home to Thai restaurant, Chaophraya. When Chaophraya sailed into Liverpool, back in 2008, it was a landmark moment for the city’s hospitality. With its opulent decor and location in the then brand new Liverpool ONE, Chaophraya raised the bar a few notches more. It eventually closed in 2020.
Liverpool ONE’s food and beverage offering continues to thrive. Grosvenor says that F&B sales were up 9% in May compared to the same month in 2019, while year-to-date F&B sales are 18% ahead of the same period in 2019. (Data released 27 June, 2022.) New additions to the Liverpool ONE portfolio include Black Sheep Coffee, Cosmo, and The Bus Yard. These latest signings add to recent openings from Bean, Slim Chickens, and Gordon Ramsay’s Bread Street Kitchen.
