Castle Street seems the perfect spot for a city that loves a bit of glamour
Here it is finally, The Ivy, and long overdue.
Never was there a city more deserving of the sort of maximalist glamour that The Ivy provides than Liverpool.
People just care about their hair more here.
The minute I turned onto Castle Street I was blinded by a cascade of lights off a long-disused bank building with paparazzi outside and thought ‘Wow they really mean it’.
It’s a perfect marriage; an establishment based on the idea of bonhomie and a people that make it their business to be good conversation.
