Movement at last on a site given planning permission three years ago
A proper tower is climbing into the sky on Princes Dock between the Three Graces and Everton’s new stadium in Peel L&P’s Liverpool Waters scheme.
This will be the 31-storey Patagonia Place with 278 flats by X1 Developments and Starlight Investments. The height will be 95m or 351ft and the architects are city-based Falconer Chester Hall.
Alongside the apartments are the usual side dishes to the main course of modern-day tower block life, namely a residential lounge, games area, fitness centre, dance and yoga studio, coworking space and room for a commercial unit on the ground floor. Expect a coffee shop or bar when the building is completed. Perhaps it should be a churrasco given the name of the development.
Planning permission was granted in 2021 but changes of ownership have caused delays to work beginning. The contractor currently building Patagonia Place is Vermont, another Liverpool company.
Chris Capes, director of development at Liverpool Waters, told Place North West.
“This new development will offer new, high-quality homes and be yet another addition to the thriving Princes Dock community. With hundreds of new homes and Grade A office space sitting alongside bars, restaurants, hotels and more, Princes Dock is flourishing.”
