Changes at the top at Veeno Italian Wine Café
RINGING the changes is Veeno, the unique and award-winning Italian Wine Café that specialises in “the art of Italian aperitivo”, where some important staff moves have just been announced.
The organisation – which was set up in Manchester in 2013 by two friends Nino Caruso and Andrea Zecchino – welcomes Rodrigue Trouillet as Commercial Director. He will be overseeing business development strategy and marketing operations, also becoming a partner and investor in the company to support its expansion plans, and joins Veeno from the Walt Disney Company EMEA, where he was a Vice President in the Media Networks division. He said: “I am delighted to join Veeno and look forward to growing the brand as well as further developing quality products and services to our valued customers. I am excited to be part of a great team.”
Meanwhile, co-founder and CFO of the company, and former Ernst & Young professional, Andrea Zecchino has decided to step down from his role after five successful years in which the company has seen phenomenal growth in a very short space of time, expanding to 19 stores and establishing itself as a key player in the UK hospitality industry.
Nino Francesco Caruso, co-founder of Veeno, said: “It’s been an amazing journey so far and I am very proud of the brand that Andrea and I have built. I want to take this moment to wish him all the best for his future endeavours. I’m now excited for Rodrigue to join the team: his experience in business strategy further strengthens our position to grow and develop Veeno as a strong brand.”

Rest assured that Veeno will continue to deliver its exclusive offer, which includes unique wine-tasting experiences and family-produced wines from the Caruso and Minini vineyard in Sicily established by Antonio Caruso, Nino’s great-grandfather, plus authentic “Spuntini” boards of meats, cheeses and other appetisers imported from selected producers in Italy.
