Catch a critically acclaimed film, craft your own earrings and rave with your toddlers

It’s not quite yet time to trawl out your tinsel frocks and trashy festive knitwear, but there’s something faintly magical about November. Perhaps it’s the warm glow of a bonfire, the whizz-bang crackle of a firework, or the promise of a dazzling light show at the Khalifa International Stadium for this year’s Qatar World Cup. If, despite the darker nights, you’re looking for events to prize you away from that fluffy hot water bottle, look no further.

Here's our round up of Things to Do in Leeds this November.

LBC x Ridgeside | Ridgeside Brewery | 5 November

Beer? Bonfire? Pizza? Parkin? The makings of a great Guy Fawkes, we reckon. Although the actual bonfire part is still a bit TBC, the teams behind Ridgeside Brewery and Leeds Bread Co-op have committed to some serious sourdough bakin’ and cask ale pourin’ after a triumphant neighbourly collaboration for their recent tenth birthday bash. Check out their socials for more info. From 3pm-9pm.

On the banks of the canal, a creative co-working space has sprung up in Shipley, housing a network of designers and crafters in a former grade II listed textiles warehouse. Baby Week Leeds | The Tetley | 14-20 November

Often families don’t get a look in when it comes to gigs and entertainment in Leeds, and it can be hard to feel part of a community when your little one’s schedule rules the house. But at the Tetley this November messy play is welcome with a calendar of events for 0–3-year-olds and their carers. Get a free taste of the kitchen’s new menu for smaller appetites at the Tiny Tetley Banquet, rave with the BoomChikaBoom disco, and get practical tips and advice from nutritionists, hypnobirthing instructors, first aiders, and mums and dads alike.
