Ten Entertainment have spent half a mil refurbing the old MFA Bowl at the Merrion

What do you do with a closed-down bowling alley? Why, refurbish it and make it a new bowling alley, of course! And that’s precisely what Ten Entertainment have done, spending £500,000 on a makeover for the Merrion centre’s MFA bowling alley.

This is the 43rd Tenpin site in the UK, so they know what they’re doing. With 26 lanes, brand spanking new touch screens and an ultra-modern scoreboard, this is another major opening for Leeds’ burgeoning entertainment scene. Tenpin are big on comfort too, so you can expect improved lane seating to help you get through that one…last…game.

Of course, no bowling venue would be complete without plenty of other activities to get involved in. Think American pool, table tennis, an arcade, and even the only foot bowl pitch in the UK, if you want to test out that mean left peg.

And if you’re hungry while you’re down there, there are more American treats than you can shake a pin at. Burgers, hotdogs, nachos and ice cream galore, accompanied by a selection of shots, cocktails and pitchers, or softies and slush puppies for the designated drivers – that’s what kids are for, right?

If you’re looking for a place to party this December, then Tenpin are already taking group bookings for kids’ parties, Christmas events and corporate shindigs. Visit their website for more details.
