Like beer? Looking for something to do this weekend?
How do beer, sausages and live music for a tenner sound? If this ticks a few boxes, then the good news is that there are still a limited number of tickets available for Oktoberfest Leeds at the South Bank depot, right around the corner from the train station.
Running from Thursday 11th to Saturday 13th October, expect steins of beer, a range of wurst and the lively accompaniment of a traditional oompah band, as Germany’s largest beer festival finds its home in Leeds for another year.
There are several ticket options for the weekend, from standard entry to VIP tickets
The South Bank depot, on Globe Road, is right at the heart of the redevelopment of Holbeck and Leeds South Bank. It promises to provide the perfect atmosphere for out-of-tune singalongs, forceful clunking of massive glasses and that delightful taste of cheese or curry sauce dribbling down your chin.
Of course, if you aren’t into your weissbier, then Oktoberfest also has a range of wine, Prosecco and soft drinks. And there are vegetarian options too, in case you like your oompah to be less sausage-based.
There are several ticket options for the weekend, from standard entry to VIP tickets, which reserves you a table, with free steins and table service for the session. Thursday and Friday’s sessions run from 4pm-11pm, and there are two options on Saturday: 12pm-5pm or 6pm-11pm. There are still a few tickets left for Friday and Saturday evenings, but you’ll have to snap them up quickly.
