The Kitty Cafe is interviewing staff next week - here's how you can apply

Lazy, uncooperative, and prone to sitting on your keyboard aren't typically considered desirable qualities in a colleague, but this isn't the typical workplace...

The long-awaited Leeds branch of Nottingham-based Kitty Cafe is preparing to open next month, and they're currently recruiting staff to fulfil all roles in the business, including management, chefs, and front of house.

The job that's sure to get the most applications though is the team member whose responsibility will be to look after the resident cats - all 35 of them.

All of the cats will be rescued from local adoption centres who are typically volunteer-run and funded by charitable donations, with limited resources. Adopting them from these centres also creates space for other cats to be rescued and re-homed.

The café also serves as a takeaway - all of the cats are available for adoption, if you happen to become particularly attached to a particular one.

Interviews for the Kitty Café are being held around November 9-10, and they're welcoming applications right now - just send a CV and covering letter to  kittycafeuk@outlook.com

Kitty Café opens Monday 11 December, 8-9 Kirkgate, LS1 6BZ.
