Starting out in Manchester back in 2013, Veeno is the brainchild of two Italian guys, Nino Caruso and Andrea Zecchino. They stock their own wine delivered direct from the family-run Caruso & Minini vineyard in Sicily, where Nino’s great-grandfather Antonio planted the first vines in the nineteenth century, as well as a number of wines from trusted small scale Italian vineyards meaning you can expect the highest quality wines, from grape to glass.
One great way to enjoy Veeno’s award-winning tipples is by booking onto one of their wine-tasting experiences. Led by a knowledgeable member of the team, you get to try five glasses of wine, each paired with Italian tapas, plus the “sweet combo” of tiramisu and desert wine. Choose from the Classic wine-tasting, just £19.90, or the Selezione option, with premium wines, for £26.90.

As well as family-produced Sicilian wines, Veeno serves up authentic Italian spuntini – delicious sharing platters of cold meat cuts, cheeses, breads and other appetisers, all imported from Italian producers, and available to pick at over a drink, or take out to use at home. The food offer also includes plenty of panini, served on a variety of breads including pan rustic, focaccia and piadina flatbread, plus speciality salads and brilliant bruschetta, topped with the likes of olive tapenade and sun-dried tomato pâté.
And there’s a great lunch deal weekdays noon until 4pm, when a complimentary glass of wine or soft drink is included with selected sandwiches or salads (and you can upgrade to a large glass of wine for just £1 extra, if you’re feeling on the decadent side). Can’t get away from your desk? Veeno can now come to you via Deliveroo. Special occasion or social event, on the other hand? Each Veeno café has unique event spaces to cater for parties of all sizes and needs, and a team ready to answer any questions you have about the food and drink.
