Vice & Virtue - 5 Course Tasting Menu for £25

The newest fine dining restaurant in town is offering a scaled down taster of its tasting menu, with five courses priced at just £25. This one’s a Pink Gorilla offer, so book a table before 7pm and quote “PG” to take advantage of it, and you’ll also get 20% off cocktails from their fancy cocktail bar.

The Cross Keys - Fizz & Chip Fridays

We’re surprised it’s taken anybody this long to combine these two stone-cold classic Friday post-work traditions, but The Cross Keys - another 2017 Bib Gourmand recipient - have stepped up to the plate. Every Friday you can see the weekend in with style, and get fish and chips plus a glass of fizz for £9.95.

The Cross Keys, 107 Water Lane, LS11 5WD

Malmaison - Chateaubriand & Wine for Two for £50

Book a table before 7:30pm at the Malmaison brasserie, and two can dine on a chateaubriand steak, frites, and all the trimmings, while washing it down with a fruity Malbec, for just £50.

Bengal Brasserie - £10 Curry Buffet

Bengal Brasserie’s delivery service is basically a fourth emergency service on Sundays when you need something to nudge you over the line from wallowing in the dying embers of your hangover to ready for Monday morning. If you can bear to tear yourself away from your sofa though, a reward awaits you at their restaurant in the form of their Sunday buffet - a selection of starters, curries and sides that change each week, for just £10 between 4pm and 10pm.

Bengal Brasserie, 65 Haddon Road, LS4 2JE

Black Swan - 2 Courses for £12.50

Call Lane’s unlikely gastropub has launched its new seasonal menu of locally-sourced, Autumn-inspired dishes, and there’s some corkers on there. You can get two courses - including roast cauliflower with charred leek and crispy quinoa, moules mariniere, and confit pork belly with honey-roast beetroot - for just £12.50 from Tuesday to Friday, or add a third for £15.95.

Black Swan, 37 Call Lane, LS1 7BT

Crafthouse - 3 Courses for £23.50

It might be one of the fanciest restaurants in the city, but Crafthouse isn’t too posh for a set-menu deal. Get a starter and main for £19.50 - including dishes like corn-fed chicken terrine, cured mackerel with rapeseed sponge, hemp granola and grape oil, and braised beef with beetroot, pomme berny and chicory. They’ve got one hell of a patisserie chef as well, so we’d encourage you to get three courses for £23.50 and add a choux religieuse for dessert.

Crafthouse, Trinity Leeds, 70 Boar Lane, LS1 6HW

Faversham - Any Salad & Wine for £8

Superfood with bulger wheat, pomegranate, and kale; ham hock, garden pea, and poached egg; roast cauliflower, chickpea, and corn; parma ham, chestnut, beetroot, and apple; any of these, plus more, and a glass of house wine can be yours for just £8 between 4-7pm Tuesday - Friday at the Fav.

Orrr you could just have a big beef, cajun chicken, or Moroccan-spiced chickpea burger with fries and a beer for a tenner. Winter’s nearly here, you could do with bulking up…

The Faversham, 1-5 Springfield Mount, LS2 9NG
