From Good Food Guide bargains to 2-for-1 cocktails, £1 burgers and totally free pizza, let us help you save some moolah this month:
The Swine That Dines - £13 Pre-Theatre Special
The Swine’s seven-course tasting menu works out at just over £20 a head, which, for a restaurant that was this week named one of Good Food Guide's 25 best new restaurants in the country, is a ridiculous bargain as it is. If you’re pressed for time though, pop in on a Thursday, Friday or Saturday between 5:30pm and 6:30pm for their pre-theatre special and your choice of two small plates from the tasting menu, plus a dessert for only £13 per person.

Headrow House - Steak, Chips & a Pint for £10
Another new entry into the 2017 Good Food Guide is Ox Club,Headrow House’s ground-floor grill restaurant. We recently gave it the full review treatment and loved it - if you want to get a taste of what they do on the cheap though, go on a Monday or Tuesday, when from midday onwards you can get Box Club steak, chips, bearnaise and salsa verde with a pint of Pilsner Urquell or a small glass of wine for £10.

The Hop - Pie, Mash & a Pint for £5
Every day The Hop, nestled away in Granary Wharf, offers one of their excellent pies, mash, mushy peas and gravy, as well as a pint of Ossett brewery session beer for the unbelievable price of a fiver. That’s even better value for money than the Boots Meal Deal.

Everyman Cinema - Free Pizza Mondays
Just when you thought it was safe to go back to the cinema now school's back in session - you remember how bleedin’ expensive it is. Every Monday though, book a ticket to see any film before 9pm at Everyman Cinema, and you’ll get a free pizza before the film. Blockbuster evening out on an indie-darling budget.

Kirkstall Bridge Inn - Half-kilo of wings for £5
Wednesdays mean two things at the Bridge; it’s the night they make everybody feel daft with their classic pub quiz, and it’s also Wing Wednesday. That means you can get half a kilo of their great deep-fried wings, coated in BBQ sauce, their own Kirkstall Dissolution IPA hot sauce, or one of their weekly special creations, for just a fiver. Just don’t get your mucky hands all over your answer sheet…
Kirkstall Bridge Inn, 12 Bridge Road, Leeds LS5 3BW
Distrikt - 2-4-1 Cocktails
Everybody knows the weekend actually starts at 5pm on Thursday, so welcome it with one - well, two - of Distrikt’s ace cocktails. They do a great range of classics and signatures, but we’re most taken with the Sours section of the cocktail menu, including the bourbon & cherry brandy fusion Cherry Mash, and the Apple Crumble sour with Tuaca hazelnut liqueur and apple.

Patty Smiths - Buy one burger, get one for £1
Nobody can accuse Belgrave’s Patty Smiths of not knowing their audience. They know that what you need on a Sunday is one of their big, sopping, face-hugging burgers to make you feel right again. On the off-chance that doesn’t work, you can have a second one for a quid and see if that does the trick. Don’t worry, it will.

Chaophraya - Two courses for £11.95
Street food-inspired and canteen-style Thai restaurants have been all the rage in Leeds over the past couple of years, but Chaophraya still packs in the crowds with their upmarket take on the cuisine. That doesn’t mean it has to break the bank though. Between 12 to 6:30pm Sunday to Friday, and 12 to 4:30pm on Saturday, you can choose two courses from their set menu - including vegetable tempura, Satay chicken, sea bass fillet, and lamb massaman - for just £11.95.

Gusto - Two courses for £11.95 / Three for £13.95
In the mood for Italian, rather than Thai? At Gusto you can choose two courses from the a la carte menu with dishes like burratina mozzarella and smoked salmon tagliatelle for just £11.95. Throw in a dessert like their Nutella & mascarpone calzone or almond milk panna cotta for another couple of quid.
