Popular playground-based street food events returns this September
Leeds' most popular (only?) playground-based street food event, the School Diner, returns to Chapel Allerton this September with the sequel: Back to School Diner.
Running for three days from 14th to 16th September, the line-up looks pretty damn good too, with local favourites including the Pizza Bus, Manjit’s Kitchen and Doh’hut, together with The Gravy Train, the Bao Boss and Wallace & Sons.
And if you like burgers (apparently they're big) Birmingham’s Flying Cows will be making an appearance, fresh from scooping a British Street Food 'Best Burger' award.
School Diner is the brainchild of Mark Young, who also owns Sela bar, so you can also expect some top-notch cocktails from the Sela truck as well as an array of live music and DJs.
The last School Diner welcomed over 3,000 people
Being held on school grounds, it’s family and dog-friendly too – the perfect way to sign off on a scorching summer.
The Leeds Indie Food edition of School Diner welcomed over 3,000 people, so there's no worry about it being a squeeze. It's also completely free to attend.
Check out their Facebook group for more info on the line-up over the next two weeks, or follow @SchoolDiner on Twitter.
