'The moment we've all been waiting for'. Apparently

They describe it as “the moment we’ve all been waiting for”.

World peace? Evidence of extraterrestrial life? A reason to visit the Pier Head?

Not this time. However for those Big Mac lovers who think getting out of the armchair to fill their faces at the nearest Maccy Dees is a step too far - there’s big news

McDelivery is now live in Liverpool - courtesy of another global conglomerate, Uber, and available from five locations across the city.

Anyone within a mile and a half of he McDonald’s in Lord Street, Edge Lane, Ranelagh Street, Aigburth Road, and Albert Dock, get to benefit. The rest of you might as well look away now.

By ordering through a downloadable UberEATS app, Liverpool residents will be among the first people in the country to try the service. You can also order online.

The McDelivery option on UberEATS will feature McDonald’s breakfast, lunch and dinner items and will be available from 8am – midnight, seven days a week.

McDonald’s franchisee Tony Higdon, who owns the Ranelagh Street branch, says here: “As with all our innovations, the McDelivery service is designed with the customer in mind, bringing a new level of convenience. It’s the next chapter in how we get freshly made, great-tasting food to our customers in a way that suits them and fits around their busy lives.

Ultimately all you have to do is answer the door.  Surely you can manage that in your busy life.
