The party venue is offering the chance to grab a free drink and VIP invite
Hold onto your hats - a new cocktail bar is arriving in Liverpool and it's promising to be the ultimate party venue for a night on the town with the girls. Even better, they’re offering free cocktails for customers who sign up to their mailing list ahead of the launch.
Liverpool is such an incredible city, and known for its party antics; we feel it is the perfect location for Josephine’s first foray into the North.
Known for its themed bottomless brunches and lavish cocktails, Tonight Josephine will officially open its doors on Hanover Street this month. The new venue is promising plenty of the hot pink and Barbiecore the brand has become synonymous with, as well as lashings of bright green and wild-wild west inspo.
Tonight Josephine is part of The Adventure Bar group, owned by Nightcap PLC. The company already has sites in London including Waterloo, Shoreditch and Clapham, plus Birmingham and Bristol.
The Liverpool venue will open later this month in the former City Buffet restaurant at Hanover House. The new bar will cover an almost 8,000 sq ft space, split across a ground floor entrance, basement and lower basement, with a capacity of up to 400 people - making it the biggest of the brand’s venues yet.
Named after Joséphine de Beauharnais (the first wife of Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte) Tonight Josephine aims to embody the mantra that “well-behaved women don’t make history”. Revellers can expect cocktails, late-night adventures and a packed schedule of extravagant events, designed to encourage guests to dance at (or on) their tables whilst singing their hearts out.
Tonight Josephine Liverpool is set to open on Friday 28 October with a VIP launch party. To celebrate, there are 1,000 free cocktails up for grabs in the run up to launch, for Josephine’s new Bandes de Filles. To grab one, you need to sign up with Adventure Bar Group here and then claim from the bar once the doors open. A lucky few sign-ups will also get an invite to the lavish VIP launch party, where the first through the doors will get a full preview of Josephine’s wild party vibes.
Bottomless brunch launches on 29 October with drag entertainment, bottomless cocktails, wild games, and sing-a-long sessions galore. Upcoming themes include Dabbers & Drag XXL, Mamma Mia, Beyonce, and an ode to the iconic Harry Styles.
Josephine’s first weekend in Liverpool is a big one - with hair-raising Halloween versions of the hugely popular themed brunches, all hosted by horrifyingly good drag queens. On Saturday 29 October, Dabbers & Drag will become Dabbers & Dragulas - with the queens slaying in their most fierce-some fits from 12noon-2pm. From 3pm-5pm, Mamma Mia Brunch will be spookified as Mamma Fear - with classic Halloween songs slotted in between ABBA bangers. Sunday 30 October will see Rocky Horror Picture Brunch from 1pm-3pm. Dress up is highly encouraged.
The biggest Tonight Josephine yet, and the first in the North, is also taking bookings for Christmas and New Year’s Eve, with the full rundown of events on the website.
Nightcap PLC is a UK hospitality group incorporating The Cocktail Club, The Adventure Bar Group and Barrio Familia. To date, the Nightcap operates across 31 sites in the UK including London, Birmingham, Exeter, Reading and Cardiff.
Tom Kidd, Adventure Bar Group Founder, said, “With the success of the Tonight Josephine brand already in London and Birmingham, we are thrilled to be bringing it to Hanover Street. Liverpool is such an incredible city, and known for its party antics; we feel it is the perfect location for Josephine’s first foray into the North.”
Opening hours: Monday - Wednesday 4pm-1am; Thursday 4pm-2am; Friday 4pm-2.30am; Saturday 12pm-2.30am; Sunday 1pm-1am.
