Heffy says hasta la vista to Hardman Street with a three-night special
HARDMAN STREET is set to get a new fine dining restaurant later this month – but blink and you will miss it
Daniel Heffy, he of the Buyers Club, Secret Diners Club and Finca, is heading overseas for a culinary adventure. Armed only with a knapsack filled with wooden spoons and stuff, he plans to work in some of the finest restaurants in Europe for a bit.
But before he sets off - which is at the end of this month - the Hardman Street restaurant, formerly the Flying Picket pub, will be saying a fond farewell by opening its handsome private dining room for three nights only - January 20, 21 and 27.
Heffy, 23, will be serving up an experimental five-course set menu from 6pm each night.
"With a nod to his future adventure, the stunning menu will feature an eclectic mixture of dishes with a European flair throughout," it says here.
Heffy, head chef at Buyers Club, says: “I’m really looking forward to heading out on my European journey! It will be great to further my experience and work in some excellent kitchens on the continent. I’m also very excited to fully take over the dining room later this month and bring a more unusual menu to the space.”
With huge demand for the pop-up, the restaurant is expected to be booked up quickly. Call 0151 709 2400 to reserve a table – the menu is priced at £45pp and vegan / vegetarian options are available.
