RECLAIM The Night Liverpool is to hold a march against sexual violence and for gender equality through the city centre.
"We are campaigning for an end to violence against women, challenging street harassment and ending rape culture," it states.
The meeting point for the Friday, May 10 march is outside the Town Hall at 7pm and will then lead up through town to Maryland Street, for a rally in John Moores Students’ Union.
The first three-quarters of the march will be for women only, with the final part being open to anyone who wishes to take part. The ‘ally point’ (for men who wish to march with the group) will be at the Bombed Out Church – at 7:20pm.
Once the march has ended there will be a rally in John Moores Students’ Union, with a broad range of speakers, poets and comedians, and all followed by a (feminist) disco!
