CAN you get your story past the Dragons?

Liverpool'ss Writing on the Wall festival is still going strong and this week there's a chance to see how the big guns do it.

See writers pitch their work to win industry advice and support from the ‘Dragons’, AL Kennedy (pictured, the Costa award-winning author of Day, The Blue Book); Kate Haldane (multi-media agent at PBJ Management), Esther Wilson (playwright, Ten Tiny Toes, Tony Teardrop) and Gordon Wise (literary agent).

Writers will have three minutes to sell their idea. It can be for a novel, a screenplay, a theatre script, a collection of poems, a series of short stories; in fact any idea they think the Dragons will like. This event is about getting serious industry advice some pretty big hitters, and about having a bit of fun.

Come into the Dragons lair, they say, if you dare.

*Dragons Pen’ takes place at The Bluecoat in Liverpool on 22nd May at 7.30pm. Tickets cost: £6/£4 G
