For the authentic cuisine of Thailand without the round-the-world trip, hotfoot it to Spice Thai on Castle Street and in the Baltic Market, where our flavours are as fresh as they are fiery. As well as our house specials of Weeping Tiger sizzling sirloin and fragrant Udon Kee Mao Drunken Noodles, we dish up proper Pad Thai seven days a week.
One of our signatures, Pad Thai is the national dish back home, so we’ve got to get it right! We stir-fry rice noodles, beansprouts, carrots, red onion and chives, ladle in our homemade Pad Thai sauce, and serve topped with crushed peanuts and slices of lime. All you have to do is decide whether you want veg, chicken, beef or prawn.
Another standout dish with a choice of meat here at Spice Thai is Gang Kiew Wan, a traditional Thai green curry garnished with basil leaves and combining vegetables including peppers, bamboo shoots, carrots and fine beans.
We also recommend Ped Yang, a grilled succulent duck number served with our special sauce and a perfect match for one of our rices: jasmine, coconut, sticky or egg.
