City Wine Bar + Kitchen is an independent bar and restaurant in Liverpool’s grand City Buildings in the heart of the business district. Our atmospheric setting in a Grade II Listed building will add atmosphere to any event.
We can host corporate meetings and business functions or anniversaries, weddings and birthdays. Whatever the event, we will provide you with fresh, local, honest food that adds a shine to your celebrations.
At City Wine Bar + Kitchen we do not charge a room hire fee: all we require is a minimum spend which varies depending on the date and time of the event.
We can offer half venue rental in our upstairs functions room or full venue hire depending on the size of your party.
Our upstairs function room can seat 80 comfortably or 110 standing. The full venue can fit 200 in total. Upstairs we have a projector, a wireless microphone system and a full music system.
We offer three different styles of food for your event: canape service, buffet service and a set menu all made to our exacting standards, using the best ingredients we can find.
Our canape bites are £3 each with a minimum order of ten of each and include popular nibbles like cheeseburger sliders, wild mushroom toasts and beer battered cod with pea puree and a hand cut chip. We recommend three bites per person.
For a buffet-style service we recommend two or three bites per person and one or two bowls. Our buffet bowls include options such as king prawn Thai green curry with jasmine rice, harissa chicken meatballs with bulgur wheat and falafel with pickled carrot and cumin salad. Our bowls are priced at £6.50 per bowl with a minimum order of ten of each.
Set menus are priced at two courses at £20 per head and three courses for £25. Enjoy dishes such as: wild mushroom and tarragon soup with tarragon oil and bread; hay baked shoulder of lamb with peas, broad beans, tomato concasse, new potatoes and goat’s curd; Sicilian lemon tart with raspberry and sorrel sorbet.
Our wine list has been designed to be affordable and approachable but we are happy to source wines for your event. Just let us know.
As well as our bespoke cocktail menu, all our staff are classic cocktail trained. We can offer the following receptions for events: Prosecco £5 per person, Champagne £10 per person, Cocktails £8 per person This is for one drink per person.
We can also offer bespoke packages for large functions, on either on a token-based system or an open tab.
