Lisa Goodwin Allen has had her little black book out again
Northcote has announced the line-up for its annual Obsession event - a very welcome return after its having to be cancelled in January 2021.
Curated by Exec Chef and TV fave Lisa Goodwin Allen, Obsession is one for the serious chef-fanciers among you. Get your I-Spy book of Great British Menu regulars (and a bottle of gin and your credit card) at the ready.
Northcote’s restaurant needs little introduction, having now held a Michelin star for 24 consecutive years
Usually, chefs travel from all over the world to cook at this event. For obvious reasons, this year all chefs come from the British Isles but the lineup is no less impressive for that.
Which chefs will appear at Obsession 2022?
Northern favourites include James Martin from the telly, Simon Rogan and Tom Barnes from L’Enclume, Hrishikesh Desai from Hrishi at Gilpin Lodge and Lisa Goodwin Allen herself.
You might also want to get excited about Matt Abé from Restaurant Gordon Ramsay, Alex Bond from Alchemilla, Nottingham and honorary Manc (due to his brilliant Bull & Bear) Tom Kerridge, also off the telly and most famous outside Manchester for his two Michelin Star pub The Hand & Flowers in Marlow. Masterchef judge (and chef in her own right) Monica Galetti will also cook with Goodwin Allen and Nieves Barragán Mohacho of Sabor on the closing night - one our office is particularly excited about.
Northcote’s restaurant needs little introduction, having now held a Michelin star for 24 consecutive years. This year the 15 guest chefs cooking at the Langho hotel and restaurant have a total of 16 Michelin stars between them.

Tickets cost from £160 per person including Louis Roederer Champagne Collection 242 and canapé reception, five-course menu and coffee and petit fours. A paired wine flight can be added from £65 per person
This year, tickets will only be available to book via an online booking form which goes live on 28 September at 10am.
Obsession takes place at Northcote and runs from 21 January to 6 February 2022.
