CONFIDENTIAL PROMOTION

SO, first things first: why is this multi award winning restaurant called The London Carriage Works when it’s in Liverpool?  I’m so glad you asked. It’s because when renovations for the building were underway, these words were discovered in the stonework. It’s the name of the original company, a coach and carriage builders, built around 1866.

This evident respect for the heritage of the area is not confined to the name, either. The 2 AA Rosette restaurant prides itself on drawing from the best fresh and seasonal produce in the North West to inspire their great range of modern British dishes.

And they have a lot of dishes to offer. Serving as a sister to Hope Street Hotel, The London Carriage Works is open seven days a week, providing menus for everything from breakfast and afternoon tea, to a prix fixe menu, a la carte daytime and evening menus and Sunday lunch. They also offer private dining and event spaces.

You’ll find a cosmopolitan and varied crowd at The London Carriage Works, where national and international guests to the city mingle with a local crowd, enjoying a venue that’s elegant without being intimidatingly exclusive.

It’s a great spot for lunch, too. Dishes from the a la carte daytime menu include ham hock, oyster mushroom scallops, and fish and chips, as well as smaller bites such as sandwiches, platters, and bar snacks.

But you can also just drop by for a drink; kick back in the light and airy space, soak up the wonderful atmosphere of The London Carriage Works and just allow yourself to feel positively transported…
