Come Boxing Day you will be craving two things: Food that isn't Christmas food. Music that isn't Christmas music. Plus shops, pubs, your real mates, normality.

Almost Famous Burgers, which serves the crack cocaine equivalent of filth food, is doing the world a favour by opening on Boxing Day. Get straight back into the saddle of life with River Phoenixes, Suicide Chicken Wings and Trailer Trash Fries while listening to cool sounds and getting Slade.
There aren't many restaurants open on Boxing Day and there are even fewer superb places willing or able to knock you back into the real world.

Liverpool’s rock ‘n’ roll panto springs back into life on Friday after the festive break.
Aladdin, It's Raining Zen, has all the old slapsticka and characteres regulars have come to know and love.
Unlike any other panto in the city, the multi-talented cast sing, dance, entertain, and play music live on stage. Heading that cast are audience favourites Adam Keast as the Genie making everyone’s wish come true, and Liverpool’s infamous Panto Dame Francis Tucker as Widow Twanky, who will once again bring their renowned double-act to the stage to thrill and soak the crowd in equal measure
Dust off your spandex party pants as Aladdin shakes, rattles and rolls at the Playhouse this year. For next year it will be back at the Everyman.
Aladdin, It's Raining Zen, Liverpool Playhouse, Williamson Sq, resumes Friday Dec 27 and runs until Jan 18.
