Variety of venues bid to boost quiet week with dining offers

Liverpool will hold a dedicated Restaurant Week over a week in April, celebrating the fantastic range of food and drink in the city.

Organised and funded by Liverpool BID Company, 22 to 28 April will see different venues participate with offers ranging from £5 to £35.

Our ambition is for people to try something new and find a new venue to visit

Liverpool Restaurant Week has been launched to cast a spotlight on the city’s restaurant sector in what can be a quiet week for hospitality ahead of Grand National Weekend and before the Summer events programme begins.

So why not start the busy Spring and Summer schedule with some fantastic food and drink, courtesy of the likes of NORD, Bundobust and Marco Pierre White Steakhouse Bar & Grill at Hotel Indigo.

There's also a number of hotels taking part in the week's deals, with Malmaison offering three courses from their Seasonal Prix Fixe menu with a drink for £25 per person. And if you're free on the Thursday (25 April) you could also go fancy with a fillet steak, chips and a glass of red wine for £25.

Following the success of Restaurant Weeks in the likes of New York and Newcastle, the BID has lined up a sizeable list of offers to take advantage of - in fact, too many to list here.

So here's the full list for you and your friends and family to fill your diaries with.

Liverpool BID said: “We are delighted to be launching Liverpool Restaurant Week, with the city having a seven day celebration of its wide variety of places to eat. We have had a huge amount of enthusiasm so far and we are excited to see the response to our plans. Our ambition is for people to try something new and find a new venue to visit.

"We have followed restaurant weeks delivered in other cities, from New York to Newcastle, and they bring a lot of new diners and a welcome boost to the hospitality sector. We have many incredible restaurants across the city centre, so we are delighted for the spotlight to be thrown on them”.

With the likes of NORD and Restaurant 8 placing the city firmly on the culinary map, there's no better time to try the delights Liverpool's restaurants have to offer, says Matt Farrell from GSG Hospitality.

Matt said: “There’s been a lot of emphasis on quality in the Liverpool food scene recently and we have seen the city project itself well on the world stage with some fantastic events.

"I'm really excited to continue this narrative with another fantastic event and being able to showcase the city again in a positive culinary light. There’s a lot of exciting concepts and creative ideas in this great city and I am looking forward to the friendliest city becoming the foodiest for Liverpool restaurant week!”

So why not go out this April, take advantage of some fantastic offers and find your new favourite restaurant?

Liverpool Restaurant Week takes place from 22 to 28 April across the city.
