Our Kitchen promises food 'produced with love'
FORMER children’s TV presenter Tara Maguire is set to make Bold Street that little bit more starry when she opens Our Kitchen - a dedicated vegetarian restaurant - next week.
The one-time host of CBBC’s popular game show All Or Nothing will be joined in the kitchen by chef to the celebrities Sean Paul Redding who has cooked for the likes of Kate Moss.
The decor of Our Kitchen is under wraps so far, but it promises to be Scandinavian inspired and our top picture shows a sneak peek of the wall graphics. Yes it's melon surfing, a dramatic transformation for a building which once housed Madame Foners, the first choice in lingerie for the more ample lady. Then again, maybe not.
“The restaurant scene is about to witness the opening of one of the most innovative concepts in eating drinking and socialising,” it says here.
Our Kitchen will offer veggie and vegan cuisine which includes an extensive holistic-inspired range of nutrient-rich juices and dairy-free nut “mylks".
Tara, who also runs the successful My Yoga studio in Wood Street believes Our Kitchen will appeal to the staunchest meat-eaters as it will fans of the veggie and vegan scene.
She said: "The project began when I decided to satisfy a long-held ambition of opening the kind of restaurant that I wanted to eat out in for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
“Everybody around me in my network in Liverpool just seems so busy and many constantly ask me the same question…'where can I eat in or take away highly nutritious food and drink, that's maybe organic, sourced locally and produced with love?"
"Well next week is the realisation of my ambition to open an inclusive restaurant that does exactly that.”
She added: “With celebrity chef Sean Paul Redding coming from his background in feeding an A-list of celebrities in the world of film and entertainment and now leading our team, we are really excited to have him on board too!"
