JULIAN Marley, son of reggae legend Bob Marley, will play a one-off gig in Liverpool later this month.
The Grammy nominated, roots reggae superstar comes to District, in the Baltic zone with an 11 piece band in tow. Expect to hear hits like Boom Draw, Lemme Go and Violence in the Streets. Just the ticket for a balmy late summer evening.
Like his old man, Julian "Ju Ju" Marley is a devout Rastafarian whose music is inspired by life and spirituality. He’s also known for his humanitarian work, supporting the Ghetto Youths Foundation
"From a small age music has been there in my life. It's just natural. And it is with the inspiration of the Most High that I create my songs" he says.
Support on the tour, which is brought to Liverpool in conjunction with the people behind Africa Oye, comes from Iba Mahr whose music ranges from reggae and lovers rock to soulful roots.
